yet another website redesign.

the old husani.com was too dark.  i’ve changed that.

yay.

website redesign. yay.

i spent a lot of time converting the old husani.com into a wordpress template.  it was my first time doing such a customized wordpress build, so i ended up editing quite a bit of the core.  wanting the ability to upgrade when required, i recently decided to start over — this time, not touching the core and simply making a theme.

granted, there’s some backend work happening in the theme (mainly for connecting press/award pages with portfolio entries), but now i can safely upgrade.  i also decided to re-skin things and make it a bit less boring.

welcome to husani.com v8.  and, you know, the future and stuff.

(updated to add: i haven’t done a full IE6/IE7 test yet, so apologizes if things are … weird, in a microsoft-browsers-suck sort of way.)

hi.

since i decided yesterday to actually use twitter (instead of just pretending), i’ve been thinking about how i contribute content to the web.  and, i don’t.  beyond the occasional pithy comment on someone else’s blog, i don’t actually generate any original content.

so i’d like to change that.  i’ve attempted blogs in the past (before they were called “blogs,” when you had to walk uphill seven miles through a blizzard, etc) but never had the dicipline to keep them up.

we’ll see what happens.  there will be lots of things here — both work-related posts and personal stuff.  at least, personal stuff that i’m willing to share with the 3.4 people who will read this.
